INDEPENDENT FUND FOR MEDIA SELF-REGULATION
The main purpose of the organization is to sustainably support the activities, development, and ideals of the Media Council’s Ethics Committee, which is an information management organization composed of the public from the social, cultural, economic, and media sectors.
In 2015, the Media Council, with the aim of creating social media responsibility and developing professional ethics, is making a good initiative consisting of media organization owners, publishers, journalists, and experts. The Council’s Complaints Ethical Committee received and resolved a total of 549 complaints on October 31, 2023.
The sponsoring organization will contribute to promoting the basic principles of free and fair democratic media in Mongolia by ensuring the independence and independence of the decisions of the 30 members of this Ethics Committee, supporting the stability of operations, and making the public aware of the importance of ethical self-regulation.
